The Combat Wombats Program is for children Aged 7 - 11. The coaches use elements of Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to modernize the class style. An excellent way for your kids to have fun, make friends, and learn discipline, the Combat Wombats are just for them!

Class last one hour and includes: Stretching, Warmups, Cardio, Curriculum, Sparring, and Games. We alternate Striking and Grappling days; on Striking days, your children will learn stance and footwork, kicks and punches, head movement and blocking, controlling and manipulating space, cardio and sparring, and much more! On Grappling days, we focus on clinching, throws and takedowns, takedown defense, wrestling and scrambles, joint locks and chokes, basic submission defense, and a variety of other grappling concepts.

We teach the Six Black Belt Principles — modesty, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, and indomitable spirit. We highly encourage these principles both in class and outside of class. We work alongside parents to make the best possible learning environment for their child. Our classes our structured, but not militant. We want kids to have fun while learning!

We do our best to accommodate all students, including those with disabilities, learning disorders, attention deficit disorders, or those with disciplinary problems.

Combat Kangaroos

Our Combat Kangaroos Program is for children Age 3 - 6. The Kangaroos classes are 45 minutes long compared to the standard 1 hour class. This is to account for the shorter attention span of the younger kids. Like the Wombats, these classes are a combination of Striking, Grappling, and Exercising — all in a fun and energetic way to keep kids engaged!

On Striking Days, the Kangaroos will focus on stances, basic footwork, simple punching and kicking technique, blocking, balance, and so much more! On Grappling Days, they will work on spatial awareness, clinching, basic trips and takedowns, tumbling, falling, and positional grappling. We also incorporate lots of really fun games and exercises to teach various concepts from martial arts. We want to give younger children an environment where they can learn while being active, staying engaged, participating in group activities, and — most important — having fun!
